Scott and Anna Barnett

:
Chi Alpha Directors
Scott

Scott grew up all over Montana and is an avid lover of the outdoors. He graduated from The University of Montana with BA in History and BA in Broadcast Journalism. God radically changed his life in December of 1997 and he started into full-time ministry "in the year 2000." He helped start a church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (cheese and packer country) and taught sixth grade at a Christian school there as well. He began working with Chi Alpha a year later and became Director of UM Chi Alpha in 2002. He feels that university ministry is the most pivotal place in the United States for spreading the good news about Jesus' life and love. He met Anna Dulba in Poland on a missions trip and asked her to marry him two years later. They started their amazing journey together in December of 2007. Other than blabbering about Jesus, his other interests include: snowboarding in Montana's majestic mountains (Lost Trail and Snowbowl are the regulars), hiding out in coffee shops reading (usually history books), and writing and playing music (usually on the guitar, but sometimes the drums show up as well).

Anna was born in old and wonderful Cracow, Poland. She gave her life to Christ at the age of 16 and jumped headlong into the beautiful journey of following God, including a missions trip to Ukraine in 2004, where she witnessed many healings and salvations. In the summer of 2005 she met Scott while he was helping lead the Chi Alpha Missions Expedition to Central Europe. He fell headlong in love with her, and through his incessant wooing, she said, “Yes”, and they were married in Poland first, then later in the U.S. (she does not recommend two weddings…STRESSFUL). She enjoys Missoula, but really misses Polish food (especially pierogi), walking around the beautiful center square in Cracow (almost 1000 years old) and talking Polish with all her friends (thank God for Skype!!)

Sylvia Allen

:
Chi Alpha Staff
Sylvia

Sylvia is from Boston, Massachusetts where she lived most of her life before moving “Out West” in 2005 to attend grad school. Two years later, she walked for a Masters degree in violin pedagogy from Boise State University.

Along the long, winding path of her college career, Sylvia lived at 8 different addresses, spent a semester at UM in 2004, worked in the marching band office at BSU, was a student leader with Campus Crusade for Christ at UMass Boston and went twice to Central Europe with the Chi Alpha Big Sky Expeditions team. In August of 2007 she moved to Missoula to begin a new adventure – serving God as Associate Staff with Chi Alpha at UM.

Sylvia is passionate about life in Jesus and Jesus in all aspects of life, and especially loves to help others discover the place God has for them in His family. Other stuff she enjoys: music, violin, photography, scrapbooking, hiking, baking, art, reading, snow days, teaching, and a good cup of mocha.
